A service of prayer for our common home on the eve of the Paris climate talks on Saturday, November 28th and 2pm.
Check out the event on Facebook here.
Across the world, followers of Christ are hearing the Spirit’s call to an ‘ecological conversion’, praying and acting together in support of a strong global commitment to combat climate change.
The service will be a simple, reflective time of worship and prayer, with a short message. It will be an opportunity to lament, pray and join together to listen to God’s word to us today – in Auckland, Aotearoa and the Pacific.
Christians of all faith traditions are warmly welcome, as are members of the general public (including children!).
The service immediately follows the Auckland People’s Climate March which starts at 11am.
Hosted by St Patrick’s Cathedral in partnership with:
The Anglican Diocese of Auckland
The Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand
The Maclaurin Chaplaincy, University of Auckland
There will be $2 validated parking at Wilson’s carpark on Hobson St and at Durham lane, but using public transport is encouraged.
